Dr. Melissa Dawn, DSW

Dr. Melissa Dawn founded H.E.R. Academy to help women and the children they raise turn everyday struggles into everyday healing. As Owner & Executive Director, she leads the academy's coaching, mentorship, and student programs with warmth, faith, and a deep belief in every member's capacity to grow.

Our Story

H.E.R. Academy, LLC.

Founded in 2024 by Melissa Dawn

It started when she hosted "The Healing Room" every 2nd Monday, and the women attending began needing more one-on-one healing and mentorship — that need led her to launch H.E.R. Academy, LLC.

The academy serves those seeking Emotional Intelligence development, healing, mentorship, and/or group coaching. To meet demand, Melissa began offering 1-on-1 coaching sessions and bi-weekly group coaching sessions.

After a little over a year, she built out an SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) curriculum — originally to serve group coaching clients, later expanded into a curriculum for female students from elementary through high school.

The academy is now growing and scaling to meet generations where they are.
